These yellow solder sleeve wire connectors are the larger option in the range, sized for 4.0–6.0 mm² (12–10 AWG) wire. Use them when the other colour-coded sleeves are too small for the conductors you are joining.
As with every wiring repair, match the connector to the wire, use suitable heat control, and check the finished splice mechanically and electrically before putting it back into use.
